Stone Steps Beach Surfboards Dewey Weber 10' Performer Longboard Volan cloth, laped rails, foam t-band, redwood stringers, solid redwood tailblock, traditional 13" hatchet fin, hawaiian cloth print Dimensions: 10' x 24 1/2" x 3 5/8" Color: Very slight green tint volan glass. Weight: Two 10oz layers, extra 8oz in tail Shaper: Jerry O'Keefe, shaped 8/16/2001 I custom ordered this Weber Performer in 2001. It's the current Performer shape however I had it glassed in two tens because I wanted a heavy old school Sano log. The green floral print is Hawaiian made which I found and sent in to Jerry. Using cloth like this also adds to the weight of the board and was quite common back in the 1960's. This board is VERY wide, VERY thick and pretty darn heavy at around 34 lbs. Surfing this board is like standing on an airplane wing. It loves to go straight and you'll be forced to revert to drop knee turns in order to get it to change directions. Hang ten all day on this baby. This condition of this board is very sweet. No dings or repairs. Some very slight pressure dings but not very many, it's hard to dent it because the glass is just so thick! I've had this board for four years and now it's time to pass it on to someone else who can appreciate it. I just have so many other boards both as surfers and on display in the house and there's not enough room for them all.
